A New Approach to Snoring and Sleep Apnea Treatment

In an era where the quality of sleep is increasingly prioritized, snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) pose significant challenges for many individuals. Fortunately, advancements in medical technology are broadening the spectrum of treatment options. For this reason, SICAT introduces a new workflow for the SICAT OPTISLEEP therapeutic appliance which has been proven over many years and is popular with patients. Unlike before, when a CBCT scan was a prerequisite, the therapeutic appliance is now also available without the need for a CBCT scan.

Streamlined Workflow Enhances Patient Comfort

The workflow is very simple. To create the OPTISLEEP therapeutic appliance, an optical impression is first taken of the patient’s upper and lower jaw and the planned jaw relation. Subsequently, the customized OPTISLEEP appliance can be conveniently ordered through the SICAT Portal, SICAT’s customer portal. The process involves filling out a PDF order form and uploading it to the SICAT Portal, along with the STL data from the optical impression, in a zip file format. This efficient approach significantly contributes to the patient’s journey towards improved sleep quality.
